Technical analysis methodology

Our automated technical analysis engine computes the following indicators from daily OHLCV data sourced via Yahoo Finance:

• Moving Averages: MA20, MA50, MA200, EMA12, EMA26
• Oscillators: RSI(14), MACD, Stochastic(14,3,3), CCI(20), Williams %R(14)
• Trend strength: ADX(14)
• Volatility: Bollinger Bands(20,2), ATR(14)
• Price levels: Dynamic support and resistance zones

Signals are scored by combining moving-average crossovers and oscillator readings into an overall directional signal: Strong Buy, Buy, Neutral, Sell, or Strong Sell. A narrative summary is generated using these scores and published as an analysis post.

Data sources

Price data is sourced from Yahoo Finance (yfinance). Data may be delayed by 15–20 minutes for equities and near-real-time for forex and crypto. We are not affiliated with Yahoo Finance or any exchange.
