Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about investing.linigu.com.

Is the data on investing.linigu.com free to use?+

Yes, all charts, technical analysis and market data on the site are completely free. The site is supported by advertising.

How often is the technical analysis updated?+

Technical analysis signals are refreshed automatically every 4 hours for all active assets. The timestamp of the latest analysis is shown on every asset page.

Where does the price data come from?+

Market data is sourced from Yahoo Finance via the yfinance Python library. Data for equities may be delayed by 15–20 minutes. Forex and cryptocurrency data is near-real-time.

What technical indicators do you calculate?+

We calculate: Moving Averages (MA20, MA50, MA200, EMA12, EMA26), RSI(14), MACD (12,26,9), Stochastic(14,3,3), CCI(20), ADX(14), Williams %R(14), Bollinger Bands(20,2), ATR(14), and dynamic support/resistance levels.

How are the Buy/Sell/Neutral signals generated?+

Signals are generated by a rule-based scoring engine. Moving average positions (price vs MA20/50/200, EMA crossover) contribute to the MA Signal score. Oscillator readings (RSI, MACD histogram, Stochastic, CCI, Williams %R) contribute to the Oscillator Signal score. These two scores are combined into an Overall Signal: Strong Buy, Buy, Neutral, Sell, or Strong Sell.

What does 'Strong Buy' / 'Strong Sell' mean?+

A Strong Buy means multiple indicators simultaneously show bullish conditions — for example, price above all three moving averages, RSI below 50 (not overbought), and positive MACD histogram. A Strong Sell indicates the opposite. These are algorithmic signals, not personal recommendations.

How many assets do you cover?+

We currently cover 1,100+ assets including US stocks (S&P 500 and NASDAQ companies), 80 forex pairs (major, minor and exotic), 200 cryptocurrencies, 60 global indices, 50 commodities, 120+ ETFs, 30 bond/rate instruments, and 30 futures contracts.

Can I use your signals to make investment decisions?+

Our signals are for informational and educational purposes only. They should not be the sole basis for any investment decision. Markets can and do move against any technical indicator. Always conduct your own research and consult a licensed financial adviser.

Is this site related to Investing.com?+

No. investing.linigu.com is an independent site operated by the linigu.com network. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Investing.com or any of its parent companies.

How do I request an asset be added?+

Are the candlestick charts interactive?+
